Download Our PFAS-inator Project Report

Aquarden’s PFAS-inator project report with the Danish Eco-Innovation Program (MUDP) has been published by the Danish EPA.

The PFAS-inator project showcased our lab and full-scale SuperOx® SCWO Systems for destroying PFAS contaminated activated carbon, ion-exchange resins, and AFFF, achieving >99,999% PFAS destruction with SCWO. Our SCWO tests and results are described from page 46.

PFAS are not forever!

No TFA in industrial wastewater – imagine that!

Aquarden performed a case study on industrial process  wastewater with high concentrations of TFA. Our SuperOx® system proved its capabilities in destruction of TFA with more than 99.99% and no unwanted fluorine byproducts in the exhaust gas or liquid exit stream.

If SuperOx® can deal with TFA – so can we!

AFFF Destruction - A Case Study

Preliminary case study on the destruction efficiency of supercritical water oxidation for aqueous film forming foam (AFFF). Preliminary results from the Aquarden SCWO-system showed 99.9 % destruction efficiency of 12-PFAS.

Subcritical Water Oxidation in the offshore industry

Aquarden, in collaboration with Aalborg University and the Technical University of Denmark, has demonstrated that our SCWO-system significantly reduces the environmental impact of H2S scavenging chemicals from the offshore industry. The process makes effluents less harmful to marine life, as effective pH control minimizes the formation of toxic by-products. These results confirm hydrothermal oxidation (subCWO) as a promising and sustainable treatment technology.
